After weeks of sticking close to home, many of us could probably really use a vacation about now. And sometimes the warmer weather makes us a little more antsy to get out and about, too. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future we’ll be able to go explore new places safely and responsibly again. Until then, though, virtual travel is the way to go. Here are a few places that you can visit via webcam livestreams and pano cams.
So, if you need a quick escape, check in on some of these places. It’s a great way to do a little research for your next vacation, too!
1. Channel Islands National Park
Let the beautiful vibrant colors and gently-waving kelp of the Channel Islands kelp forest put you in a state of deep relaxation. This livestream also has audio so be sure to turn up the volume for some awesome underwater sounds.
You can always depend on the Grand Tetons for a scenic and serene view, no filter or Photoshop necessary. The Jackson Hole/GTNP area has a variety of webcams so you can check the views from multiple locations.
Is Old Faithful still as faithful when no one is there in person to watch it? As it turns out, it is. With this live view, you can keep tabs on it. Maybe you’ll even be lucky enough to catch it when it’s erupting. For a list of latest eruptions as well as the predicted next eruption, check here.
